Q : Why cant I see a menu bar or someplace to navigate from?

A: This website uses many advanced features to ensure that the information you provide here is kept secure and that you get the best visual experience. Thus as a minimum requirement, your browser MUST be at least one of the following :

  • Internet Explorer 5.0 or above
  • Netscape Navigator 4.0 or above
  •  Opera 5 or above
  • any other browser that supports layers

This website uses Layers to display its menu items. Thus if your browser is incompatible, you will be unable to see them. However, rest assured that our designers are working on providing an alternative means of displaying the menu for such cases without losing the visual appeal. 

Q : Why does the site ask me to register when I try to search for a profile?

A:
We are currently in the process of expanding our base of profiles. Thus to encourage new members to signup, we have temporarily made it essential to be registered before a search can be made.
Q : How do I login to Hamarijodi.com?

A: Every page on Hamarijodi.com has an information bar on the right side. The first section on this bar provides a place for you to enter your username and password. Alternately, if you access any portion of the site which requires your details, you will automatically be redirected to the login page.
Q : I forgot my password… how do I retrieve it?

A: On the home page, look for the link “forgot password” on the right. It is located just under the login area. Once you do that, you will be asked to enter your username. After you click the “send me my password” button, your password will be sent to your email address (the one specified in your profile).
Once you see your password, it is advised that you delete that email as a security measure. In the event that you forget your password again, follow these steps again.
Q : How can I change my password?

A: The option to change your password is located in the “Personal Settings” section under “Profile” menu.
When you want to change your password be sure to tick the check box on the left, enter the new password and then click on the “Save Settings” button
Q : What are your rates and the various packages you offer incase I want to upgrade my profile?

A: Currently we are in the process of expanding our base of profiles and as a result, have temporarily suspended the payment section of the website. But rest assured that once we have a substantial base, profile upgrade will be made available to all.
 Q : How can I protect my pictures from being seen by everyone?

A:
If you do not want your pictures to be seen by everyone who comes by your profile, then you can password protect them. To do that you will have to go to the “profile” menu and click “personal settings”. Then go to the password section and enable the password for your pictures and horoscope.
Q :Can I put a password on only one of my pictures or only on my horoscope?

A: No. When you add a password to your pictures and horoscope, it is assumed that you wish to protect all your pictures.
Q : Why does my picture not get uploaded?

A: Make sure that the picture that you are uploading is as small as possible although maintaining the clarity. Hamarijodi has selected the JPEG format for its pictures as this offers the smallest size and the best resolution for high quality images.  If your image is not in the JPEG format, then it will not appear. But this can be easily remedied by opening it first in graphic application such as MSpaint.
Then selecting file -> Save As.
Then changing the "Save As Type" to JPEG. If you require assistance, simply send us the image and we will optimize it for you for free. Send to Support@hamarijodi.com
Q : After I edit my profile, why don't I see any change?

A: When ever you edit your profile, a request is generated to one of our customer service agents. The changes are then screened and then updated online only after he/she makes sure that it is valid. This process ensures that all the profiles you see are decent, professional and authentic.
Q : When I try to compose a mail to someone, why do I get the message "Atleast one of you need to Accept the other through the EXPRESS INTEREST section"?

A: As an introductory offer, we have given all members the facility to contact each other. BUT in order to protect the interests of our members, communication is only possible when atleast one of the members has accepted the other through the "Express Interest" section of the website. If you like the profile of someone and wish to initiate contact, then first open the profile through the "View Profile" section. At the bottom you will see a button called "Express Interest". When this is clicked, a message will be sent to that party telling them that you liked their profile. They will see your profile as well and if they accept you then you will be able to write to them.

Q : Why does my menu bar not appear in the center of the page?

A: The menu bar is designed to adjust itself to the center of the page. But incase this does not happen, simply hit the refresh button each time you change the size of your browser window or change the resolution of your screen.
